L&#8217;obiettivo generale \u00e8 quello di sviluppare sistemi efficienti, integrati, pronti all&#8217;uso ed espandibili per la coltura di cellule in condizioni che assomigliano all&#8217;ambiente microfisiologico, per ricapitolare le funzioni cellulari che non sono presenti nei sistemi di coltura cellulare convenzionali. Questi dispositivi microfluidici permetteranno di studiare la biologia delle malattie umane a livello paziente-specifico e a livello cellulare e molecolare. L&#8217;uso di questo sistema integrato per la ricerca di nuovi farmaci consentir\u00e0 studi pi\u00f9 rapidi, pi\u00f9 economici e pi\u00f9 accurati che mai, riducendo la sperimentazione sugli animali. I sistemi OoC convenzionali sono generalmente progettati e fabbricati a livello di laboratorio e assemblati in unit\u00e0 con manipolazioni complesse. Per rendere la tecnologia OoC prontamente disponibile per le indagini biologiche ad alto rendimento, \u00e8 di fondamentale importanza sviluppare approcci produttivi robusti per la produzione su larga scala e a costi accessibili. Verr\u00e0 progettato, prototipato, prodotto e validato un OoC integrato e compatto, e il relativo sistema di perfusione, che avr\u00e0 caratteristiche avanzate che caratterizzeranno tali sistemi in futuro. Il progetto proposto avr\u00e0 un&#8217;architettura multistrato, basata su strati polimerici e membrane elastomeriche. Microcanali, valvole e pompe saranno realizzati e assemblati sul chip principale, sfruttando le diverse propriet\u00e0 degli strati e utilizzando microgriglie di supporto delle celle appositamente sviluppate. Le tecnologie di microproduzione all\u2019avanguardia saranno adattate e migliorate per consentire la produzione di massa di un prodotto cos\u00ec complesso. In particolare, i processi di microfresatura e microEDM saranno ottimizzati per produrre micro caratteristiche dello stampo, come pareti lisce e sottili, perni e tasche sagomate; verranno realizzate sottili microgriglie polimeriche e integrate negli strati per promuovere lo stiramento periodico del substrato biologico cellulare e per riprodurre stimoli chimici e fisici sugli strati di co-coltura cellulare. Il processo di microstampaggio a iniezione sar\u00e0 ottimizzato per produrre strati microstrutturati e microparti. Verranno identificate strategie robuste per la caratterizzazione metrologica di stampi, inserti e dispositivi microfluidici. Come importante risultato del positivo completamento del progetto, sar\u00e0 reso disponibile un insieme unico di competenze su utensili di precisione, microproduzione e produzione di massa mediante replica. Questo progetto rafforzer\u00e0 un nuovo flusso di ricerca concentrato sulle tecnologie di microproduzione per la produzione di massa di OoC e sulla bioingegneria. Il tempo medio \u00e8 stato inferiore ai 15 minuti e consisteva in 50 domande, combinando domande s\u00ec\/no, domande a scelta multipla e domande aperte. Sono state ottenute un numero totale di 67 risposte combinando le risposte dei quattro paesi, fornendo un campione piccolo ma eterogeneo, che potrebbe fornire spunti interessanti su come le aziende percepiscono l&#8217;Industria 4.0.<\/p><p>Sebbene tutti i campioni siano stati analizzati in modo approfondito, vale la pena ricordare che circa il 75% delle aziende ha risposto s\u00ec alla domanda sulla ricezione della formazione su Industria 4.0, essendo circa il 60% quelle disposte a pagare per questi corsi. Questo risultato di per s\u00e9 non fa altro che dimostrare la generale mancanza di conoscenza riguardo a Industria 4.0 e la reale necessit\u00e0 mostrata dalle aziende di essere istruiti su Industria 4.0.<\/p><p>Il sondaggio mostra anche che c&#8217;\u00e8 molta strada da fare per quanto riguarda l&#8217;introduzione dell&#8217;Industria 4.0 nelle aziende manifatturiere intervistate poich\u00e9, ad esempio, le soluzioni CAD sono ancora prevalenti rispetto alla simulazione o persino agli approcci CAM. Inoltre, un altro chiaro esempio \u00e8 che solo il 25% delle aziende ha utilizzato la produzione additiva. L&#8217;esperienza con produzioni in piccoli lotti, sebbene sia abbastanza comune, \u00e8 trattata con un sistema rigido, che non sembra essere l&#8217;approccio pi\u00f9 appropriato. Va inoltre evidenziato che l&#8217;elaborazione dei dati si basa principalmente sull&#8217;archiviazione sull&#8217;analisi dei dati e solo il 5% delle aziende ha stabilito il monitoraggio automatico del processo. L&#8217;implementazione dei protocolli Machine2Machine \u00e8 bassa, appena vicina al 25%.
