Francesco's research activity consists in the advanced digitalization of chip removal production processes with the aim of creating a completely digital workflow from start to finish. This is accomplished using state of the art industry available software (VERICUT, Siemens NX and others) which will interact with FOSS internally written programs.

Margherita's research activity consists in the study of magnesium micromachining for biomedical applications, using the high-precision Kern EVO machining centre. Her project is based on the development of a magnesium-based drug-releasing intraocular device.
